On this date last year, I published my first blog post.

My initial intention for the blog was to keep in touch with family and friends as Aussie Mate and I embarked on an “adult gap year”. I planned to share photos and occasional thoughts.

One year on…. Yes, it is a good way to keep in touch with loved ones, but it is so much more.

I now know what an amazing place the blog community is. I’ve met so many people, made new friends. I am constantly inspired by other bloggers, their words and photos, the variety of topics, the positive vibes and support.
