This month’s challenge in Jude’s “bench series” is for a metal bench.
This one is at MONA – Museum of Old and New Art – in Hobart.
Whilst talking about metal, I want to include a few photos of metal sculptures at MONA by Belgian artist, Wim Delvoye.
Cement truck and flatbed trailer.
Chapel.
Fantastic pictures, very special.

Wonderful bench! Metalwork does seem to inspire people though I’m not sure about the metal flat-bed trailer, no denying the craftsmanship in it, but not sure I’d want one in my garden. The chapel on the other hand looks delightful. Thank you for sharing these Ruth. I love to see sculpture from around the world. 🙂

Hi Jude. This bench is pretty, isn’t it. I love these sculptures but the artist has done some weird art too. I enjoy contributing to your bench series, but it has raised a few questions from friends and family. This was the latest …Is your bench fetish recent or deep seated? Lol.

Hahaha… indeed questionable 😀
I like deep-seated!

Very special bench! The artwork looked so familiar – I realized it is vom the Belgian artist Wim Delvoye. I saw and admired some of his work at the Belgian coast. https://geriatrixrt.wordpress.com/2015/05/05/nieuwpoort-oostende/

I love his metal work, not so keen on some of his other works though.

Really attractive bench, but I’m not sure I’d like to lean basing that knobbly back! Enjoyed the sculptures too.

Lean “against” – how did autocorrect come up with basing??
