Having moved from winter / spring to autumn / winter in the past few months, totally missing a summer, the recent days of warmth and perfect sunshine have been a joy.
Temperatures were twelve degrees above average for springtime, in the mid twenties.
Socks and boots, socks and trainers, were put aside for a bare foot walk along the beach. Hard wet sand, soft sinking sand, all provided a natural pedicure. Sand between the toes and sand squeaking beneath each footstep.
Roll on summer.
Hope you get one this year. If you don’t, i suggest, come August next year, jump on a plane to Darwin for a week or two ๐

Lol Mick. I think Darwin would be a bit too hot and humid for me.

In August, Darwin has a nice dry heat. However, every day is around 30 degrees. Only 3 more than what you got yesterday ๐

Ok, true., so maybe we’ll get there one day. I was there 30 years ago, loved Katherine and Kakadu.

bare foot walking on the sand is a simple luxury we should all enjoy more often.
