This week’s photo challenge asks ….
What’s mundane yet meaningful to you?
What’s a beautiful everyday thing?
This made me smile at the market on the weekend. Do you have any orphan cups?
These mugs are valued in our house, but they are only practical for right handed people.
I took my righthandedness for granted until now. I do grab the cup itself instead of the handle. I love orphan cups. They make a tea party interesting and full of personality. x

Those mugs are very elegant but I think I’d find them awkward to use. I love old-fashioned teacups to look at, there’s a vintage cafe locally that uses lots of mismatched ones and other old objects and I enjoy spotting items from my youth. At home I prefer a good, large mug though!

We have a beautiful vintage cafe in Holt, Norfolk that uses mismatched teacups and plates. This is a great take on the challenge!

Thanks. Love the idea of vintage cafe with mismatched crockery.
