This is my final contribution to Jude’s bench challenge. A mix of antique, ornate and rustic benches.
It’s been a wonderful challenge, one that has inspired me to take notice of an ordinary object and take photos in a variety of angles and styles. I’m looking forward to new challenges next year but perhaps the odd bench will still appear in my future posts.
Benches are an invitation. And an invitation can be a very special thing.
Feeling profound tonight.

They are all so unique! Ordinary but not really. I like to wonder about the people who liked to sit there.

Good ones. I would enjoy a rest in any of them for a bit, enjoying the scenery or a book!

I guess we all took benches a bit for granted, never really considering their place in our lives and how much we benefit from them and miss them when they are not around in places where we would like one. I have been hugely impressed by all the very different styles and types and locations people have found benches, and I thank you Ruth for showing me your lovely Tassie ones 🙂
Have a great 2016 xx
