Today is Lunar New Year. It’s not just Chinese New Year, it is a public holiday in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Korea, Singapore and Vietnam.

Yesterday Hobart held a colourful multi cultural festival in celebration.

Entertainment included lion dancers, music, taiko drummers. Kids had fun with face painting, origami, kung fu sessions. Food stalls offered a variety of dishes. Dragon boats were on display and side stalls share oriental art and Chinese writing. It was a fun family day.
