I wasn’t aware of this city council sponsored urban art until friends mentioned it. When I went to see it, I was fortunate to see the artist at work.
Here is progress over a couple of weeks. Thanks to Clare for the first image.

Hi Ruth. I do like the whimsy of this mural. Wish I’d known about world minute earlier. I did take a photo when I read your post at 6.11 pm last night. I was sitting here, plugging away at my writing! Cheers Meg

I’ve always been fascinated by street art and how they visualize their work on such a large *canvas*. Looking at this sequence of photos, it appears that it is sketched out first and then painted in. Am I right?

Hi Joanne. That seems to be his method. I wish I’d seen it at the very early stage.

This is amazing. So colorful and vibrant with quite a staggering amount of detail. No doubt it will have lifted the vibe of this street it’s in.

In Melbourne, some idiot would tag all over it. Hope this does not spread to Hobart
