Oh, OK. I guess generally the bays on the River Derwent are sheltered. We occasionally get some howling winds when we bring in the balcony chairs and flower boxes and batten down the bbq.

That makes sense. I like jetties too. I like riding my bike on them and tempting fate. Also kayaking under them.
