Q is for … Queen
Tomorrow is the 90th birthday of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.
Happy birthday Ma’am.
I’ve seen the Queen – at a distance
I’ve been inside her home – as a tourist on an Open Day at Buckingham Palace
I’ve had tea with her – along with several thousand others at a Royal Garden Party.
I carry her image in my purse each day.
Q is also for Quoll and Quokka. Two more unique Aussie marsupials.
Q was also part of my science studies with the Open University, a couple of years ago. Book 7 – Quarks to Quasars.
And Q is for …
A lovely, Quirky, post, Ruth.

On good days, I carry a few photos of the Queen in my wallet too 🙂
I understand it is a huge honour to be invited to the Royal Garden Party. Have you ever written about your experience?
Your photo of Quirks and Quasars reminded me of a radio Science show on CBC called Quirks and Quarks. It is one of Husband’s favourites 🙂

The science shows sounds interesting. I went to the Royal Garden Party back in my teens. I wish I’d paid more attention, so no, I haven’t written about it. Perhaps I should talk to my Mum and write from our joint memories of the day.

I know what you mean about experiences as a teen. I was so self-conscious as a teen, I missed a lot of the world around me lost in my own head.

I’m just catching up on some posts. I think the queen is quite remarkable. A very good role model for us all!
