It is a beautiful day here today
A perfect morning to get out for a walk
My local walk is along Nutgrove Beach to Long Beach
I walk beside the River Derwent estuary
In our Hobart suburb
Nestled below Mount Wellington
As I look behind me
“The Mountain” is topped by snow
My mind can not compute
For me,
A sandy beach is summer
Snow is winter
My conscious thought knows
That the seasons are back to front here
But the odd things still cause me to halt
Snow and sandy beach in the same photo?
I’m linking this to Claudette’s Emotography series.
Still preferable to snow ON the sandy beach 😉

Oh, I’d love to see that one day 🙂

Does tend to get a bit confusing – we’re just lucky to get both lots of beauty in one place I guess.

A nice way to express it.

Snow and sandy beaches….only in Tasmania I think!

And that was a lovely photograph to show your subconscious confusion!
When Claudette and I were in London-a long time ago-we were the only people walking round with short sleeved shirts on so we all feel different in the “upside down” parts of the world I expect.
Some family who were in Alice Springs recently said there was a great hail storm and the hail lay like snow into the next day. I would not have expected that in that place!

Yes Effy, a good comment about being in “upside down” places. I wouldn’t expect snow in Alice either.
