The time difference between Rio and Hobart has meant that live coverage of the Olympic Games occurs through our night and into the morning, not practical on weekday work days. We’ve watched highlight shows but it’s not the same.
So this weekend has been full of live action, juggling a few tv channels, selecting our preferred sports, whist keeping up with other results online.
So many wonderful moments in so many sports. So many favourite athletes from various countries. And how heartening too see refugees competing under the Olympic flag.
A lot of friendly banter supporting Team GB and the Aussies.
So many emotions, inspiration, joy, disappointment, admiration, pride.
As I’ve watched the Olympics this weekend, I can’t help but remember the wonderful atmosphere in London four years ago.
So many happy memories of our day at the 2012 Paralympics.
Great photos Ruth.

Great photos! My daughter and husband went to the Olympics in Sydney many years ago and remarked on how difficult it was to get good photos. We’ve been enjoying watching them this time round too.

Thanks Gerrie. I’m often surprised by the quality of iPhone photos. Technology has changes so much since the Sydney games. I’m watching Olympic highlights whilst writing this and checking blogs.
