The ruins of Port Arthur Church.
The view of the beach, framed by the penguin viewing platform.
The coastline framed by an arch in the rocks.
The botanical gardens, framed by the arch in the wall.
And the dilemma of framing a photo in the rear view mirror. Do you straighten the image to the horizon in the mirror or the horizon ahead?
A beautiful set!

All are so beautifully framed Ruth. And in such a gorgeous backdrop.

Thanks Miriam. The Port Arthur photo came to mind straight away, then I found the others whilst browsing through my archives.

That second last one of the arch looks like it has flaming red eyebrows. 🙂

Yes Claudette. I took some close up of those leaves. The walls and arch and ground are all wonky though. Wasn’t sure how to straighten it.

I have a great free editing program that is good for that (called Photoscape) it has a button especially for it. I also use it for doing my inverted photos, and it is very good for sharpening photos too.

Pingback: Frame (3) | What's (in) the picture?
Wonderful framed pictures, I really adore the first one and those images taken through the cliff is very special. I think you chosed right horizon by chosing the real one in front, but I guess it is a thing of personal taste and what’s in the picture.

Thanks Lena. Nature does it’s own framing sometimes. Interested to hear your view on the horizon of the last picture. I have altered it so many times 🙂

The 2nd last photo made me smile. The archway appears to have bright red antlers … or a bad hair day 🙂
