Via Facetime or Skype
Phone calls
Text messages
But occasionally
I wish I could have a real hug
And be there in person
Most days it’s fine that we value our independence
To know that we have
Both roots
And wings
But occasionally
I wish I could stand next to you
As we look up at the sky

Lovely Ruth. Poignant in some way. Geographical separation is a tough one. I sometimes feel that too with all my sisters living in Australia. I hope we can stand together to look at the sky, day or night, another time – just like we did when I was over in May. Look forward to it. Love Denxx

Lovely words Ruth, so many of this generation are spread across the world, and it is not the same as having them in the same place. We met many people when we were overseas who spent their retired life visiting children in other countries…not great.
