It’s so horrible this has happened again in London. To think we worked nearby years ago in Southwark when it was much more civil back then. I hope some sense comes out of all of this as there is so much turmoil going on. Has anyone noticed the attacks seem to be on countries where there are women leaders – Teresa May in the UK and Angela Merkhel in Germany. We can not let terrorism stop us from living the life we wish to. My thoughts and hopefulness for everyone at this time. Love Den xx
The photos I took at Borough Market and the surrounding district, just over three weeks ago, have a new meaning after this event. A lot of thought will go into any future post in which they may be used.
I too searched out photos I have of Borough Market from three years ago. I commuted into London Bridge for four decades and have so many happy memories of this part of London, the pubs and restaurants that are a backdrop to this news story. I’m wondering whether to post about it or not. It feels very personal.

I can imagine. Much closer than my recent visit in the steps of my ancestors from the late 1800s – 1921.
