There are lots of beautiful Australian native flowers. Paper daisies are now one of my favourites. I saw various colours at the gardens I visited on Thursday and I bought a bunch home.
They were a perfect subject for some macro photos.

Hi Ruth. The flowers are lovely. We have them here too. I have learnt something today as I did not know they were native to Australia. I am really impressed with your ideas for angles. I particularly like the side on view as an idea. Love Den xx

Thanks Den. I do like macro shots and seeing the finer details.

I know these as everlastings and once grew some in my garden in Doncaster – believe it or not they did very well! Love the name paper daisies though, most appropriate.

Interesting that they grow well in the UK. I don’t remember coming across them there.

There is just something about a daisy – simple beauty, unpretentious, sunny, and happy 💕

Loved these photos Ruth, and I love paper daisies they last so long, ever lasting is their other name as Jude said, I have just sown a packet of them in seed trays as I plan to fill every spare gap in my garden with them.
