My northern hemisphere brain still gets a kick out of summer in December, evening though this is now my third Christmas in Australia.
Today, one week before Christmas Day, we visited a few of Tasmania’s East Coast beaches, on a beautiful sunny day. The sand gets whiter as you travel north.
Kelvedon Beach
Spiky Beach
Denison Beach
All beautiful and all empty… sigh!

I love summer but December never really feels like Christmas, even after 55 years!!! until the 25th when the family gets together. Interesting how the sand colour changes

Oh, 55 years. Seems like I’ll need a few more years to get used to this summer Christmas time. Tassie beaches are special and an interesting contrast to the Sydney beaches my daughter will visit this week.

Gorgeous beach photos Ruth… even though I was brought up in Africa, and then Australia, I do think of Christmas as being white with mistletoe, perhaps all the books I grew up with. Anyway, best wishes for the Christmas season to you and your family, and enjoy time with your lovely grandson.
