A local Jazz Festival has been running all week, with free twilight concerts at various parks and a foreshore boardwalk.
Due to predicted inclement weather, the weekend events were moved to a marquee. We spent the afternoon and evening listening to three different bands, with differing music styles and sounds. We joined others to be faces in the crowd.
My husband and I enjoy going to music festivals as well. A perfect way to spend a relaxing day!

Hi Ruth,
I too was at a Jazz concert yesterday. Chris Barber was playing at the Henley Town Hall.
He must be nearly 90, but he can still play the trombone well, although I must say he was carried along by the band. It was an excellent evening.
Obviously it was not outside in warm weather – rather we arrived well wrapped up in scarves
and gloves , preparing ourselves for the icy blast which is supposed to reach us in the next couple of days.
As snow is also being forecast I am wondering whether your Mum will make it to Reading at the end of the week.
Alison seems to be enjoying her travelling and Linda seems quite happy on her own. I think
she is enjoying having the car to herself!!
Hope you enjoy Alison’s visit.
Love
A.Margaret
