Rather than “waking from sleep or renewal” as depicted by springtime, I am choosing the definition, “moment of awareness”.
Here in Tasmania, we share our beautiful island with lots of wildlife. This tag, on a local sculpture, reminds everyone to be aware of their driving speed. Slow down. Tasmania has the highest level of road kill in the world.
very good idea, I hate to see animals killed on the road..all too frequent around Canberra too.

I learnt something new about Tasmania today, thanks to the interesting interpretation of the challenge. Loved it!

So sad. Why do people feel the need to race everywhere.

perhaps it’s not so much to do with speed (although that surely is a factor) but the quantity of wildlife we are lucky enough to have here.
You’re still going to do considerable damage to most animals at 40kms and hour – because most are small. Perhaps a better option is to find ways to deter them from crossing the road, maybe animal underpasses or such?
Just some thoughts.

We certainly have a lot of wildlife and some seem to have a death wish. Its good to raise awareness and hopefully get more ideas and suggestions.
