Interesting shots, Ruth! We were enveloped in a huge electrical storm and the moon was hiding 😦 😦 But it was an impressive sight.

I heard that the UK finally had some rain after your long heatwave.

Beautiful. It was an amazing sight. I was fortunate to see the blood moon in Melbourne.

Lovely Ruth. I didn’t get up to it on Saturday morning. I understand we had a partial eclipse in New Zealand. I have enjoyed looking at some good online shots of it. The next lunar eclipse is 19th January 2019. It will be interesting to see which countries see the full or partial view of the eclipse. North America did not see it, but will do so next time. Perhaps we will see a full eclipse in NZ.
What’s the optical device in the 4th photo you are using?

I took the moon photos with my iPhone though my MEADE telescope eyepiece. The other two are photos with my Sony camera.

Great photos Ruth & it looks as if you had exactly the right position. The bridge looks lovely too.

Sadly, North America was shut out from this show so it’s nice to see photos from those who were fortunate enough to catch it! I’ve never seen a blood moon … someday.
