Hobart and its suburbs were shrouded in fog when we woke this morning. The fog ebbed and flowed down the River Derwent all morning, giving glimpses of the opposite shore.
This particular river fog is called “Bridgewater Jerry” and is rather stunning, fast moving, appearing like a scarf or ribbon flowing down the river.
Looks quite surreal. Beautiful

Even your fog is more picturesque than ours 🙂

Really interesting phenomena. We don’t have it here in NZ as far as I know. The fog we have is inclined to drop down, and then lift across the morning. It is usually really low to the ground, making for a very cold morning sometimes. Is it known how ribbon fog develops? Den xx

Nicer fog than what we get – even now I am watching the hillside disappear!
