This time last year I was in the UK to catch up with family. I organised a mini break in the Yorkshire Dales, in the spring time.
My Mum, daughter and I stayed in a country hotel with views like these.
We visited Aysgarth Falls.
Also the 600 year old Bolton Castle.
We travelled past Ribblehead Viaduct.
And climbed Malham Cove to the limestone pavement.
Happy memories. Fun times.
As there are a lot of lines in these photos I’m linking this to Jude’s 2020 Photo Challenge.
Beautiful photos and I imagine great memories!

Oh fabulous photos and another post today that took me back to my teenage days and school trips. We went to Malham Cove and the Limestone Pavement on a geography trip. Those lines in the first few photos are wonderful. I love the wall leading to the tree. And the Aysgarth Falls. Funnily enough I was planning a holiday this June/July in the Dales, but it’s going to have to wait now until next year. Hopefully we will be able to go on holiday next year. In the meantime, thank you for sharing these lovely images with me so I know what to look out for.

Glad I could prompt happy memories for you. Shame that your holiday had to be cancelled but it’s good to have plans for when restrictions are lifted.

Lovely images. You can’t beat a dry stone wall π We had a week’s holiday booked for the North York Moors beginning of June. Cancelled it. But we’ll go next year. When I was a stroppy teenager, we used to camp at Gordale Scar, not far from Malham Cove. It rained! But it looks as though you had good weather last year.

We did have reasonable weather. Enjoy your Dales holiday when it is rescheduled.

As a Yorkshire lass lucky enough to live near many of these views, I loved this virtual journey with you, particularly that very clever first shot. Thank you!

Beautiful photos Ruth – very familiar to me as I grew up in Yorkshire and visits to the Dales were part of my childhood π I usually go back each year to see my family and we often take a drive into the Dales. Alas not sure when my next trip will be – very hard with family over there and my dad is in his late 80s. Hoping can maybe get over next year………….
