We moved to Australia in 2015 so my brain knows that December here is summer. But this time last year I was back in the UK from November through to March and it seems my brain has reverted to December must be winter.
Here are a couple of photos comparing my summer Christmas and my winter Christmas.
Despite spending several years living in South Africa Christmas never really felt right in the sunshine. Even worse was seeing robins and Christmas trees which was definitely wrong. Victorian traditions do not belong in a warm climate.

That’s very true but those traditions are still very prominent here.

After being in the Southern hemisphere 60 years I still have not adjusted to the thought of Christmas in the heat.

Christmas in summer seems weird, but at the same time oh how I would love the nice weather! 😀
