I unofficially joined in an Australian Citizenship Ceremony today. My ceremony in July 2020 was a solo zoom call. So today it was surprisingly emotional to repeat the Pledge out loud with other New Citizens and sing “I am Australian”.

I had the honour many years ago to officiate at a Citizenship ceremony and I found it to be an amazing experience. I was a shire councillor at the time. Glad you are enjoying being an Aussie 🙂

So pleased you had that experience. I remember my citizenship ceremony clearly, though it was many years ago, 1999. I lovely feeling to be an Australian.
